Windows Installer 3.1 or later is recommended. Agilent IO Librories Suit 14.0 Disk Space Requirements: 2.86MB Installing the Software 1. Unzip the zip file to a folder. 2. Double click the setup.exe file to start install. 3. Follow the instrution to install the program. Uninstalling the Software 1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add or Remove Programs. 2. In the Currently installed programs box, click the program that you want to remove, and then click Remove. 3. If you are prompted to confirm the removal of the program, click Yes. Using the application 1. Connect and power on the Agilent 34405A digital multimeter. 2. Connect the USB cable to your PC. 3. On your PC start the program by clicking Start>All Programs>Agilent Technologies> Agilent 34405A Firmware Setup>Agilent 34405A Firmware Setup (Version X.XX-X.XX). 4. Choose the your Agilent 34405A serial number that you want to from the "Instrument S/N" combo box. 5. The program will connect to the instrument after you choose a serial number. 6. You can connect the instrument clicking the "Connect" button. 7. The instrument connectivity will be shown as "Connected" or "Disconnected" after the "Connect" button. 8. The instrument firmware version will be displayed in "Current Firmware Version" field after it is connected. 9. Make sure the instrument is in connected status before start the firmware downloading. 10. Click the "Download Firmwares" button to start the firmwares downloading. 11. Ignore the message "Error 635" on the display of the instrument at the end of the downloading. 12. The Instrument will reset and recover itself after the firmware downloading.
